Santa Fe Institute’s Complex Systems Summer School (CSSS) —now in its 26th year—is the premier program in training graduate and postdoctoral fellows in the fundamentals and practice of complex systems scholarship.

CSSS-Chile is an intensive 12-day exploration of biocomplexity and the complex behavior in the environment and social sciences. This school is intended for graduate and postdoctoral fellows from all countries. Topics include social dynamics, scaling and network theory, ecology and nonlinear dynamics among others.

This is the first CSSS to be held in Chile. The theme: Biocomplexity captures the importance and relevance of today’s challenging problems related to sustainability, social dynamics, and the general interactions of living organisms with their environment.

Application Period: March 15 – July 15, 2013
