UDD is the best private university in the country and signs strategic alliance with UC Davis Chile
Friday, 22 December, 2017 | NEWSThe Newspaper “El Mercurio” and Universitas published the Quality Ranking of Chilean Universities 2017, which evaluated a total of 46 institutions.
According to the ranking of Quality of the Chilean Universities 2017, prepared by the Advanced Studies Group (GEA in Spanish) Universitas and El Mercurio, the Universidad del Desarrollo was ranked No. 11, showing an important rise from the position No. 17 in which was maintained since 2013, thus becoming the best among the country’s private universities.
In its sixth edition, the study highlights just that the UDD was one of the institutions that showed significant improvements, by climbing 6 places. “The case of the University of development is very praiseworthy for its dynamism and the uniformity with which it has increased the score of most of its indicators,” the researchers at GEA Universitas pointed out in El Mercurio.

Alliance with UC Davis Chile
An example of the growth of the university is the agreement signed this week with UC Davis Chile. In a ceremony held on the occasion of the closure of the Institutional Improvement Plan (PMI) of the UDD, the rector of this House of Studies, Federico Valdés, and the executive director of UCD, Alan Bennett, sealed this alliance whose objective is to advance in the innovation and entrepreneurship based on sciences, not only at the national level.
This agreement aims to strengthen the capacities of UDD researchers and professors, the Vice-Rector for Research and PhDs and the capacities in innovation in students and teachers of the University.
