Tamara Yaikin Calderón, the Center’s project coordinator, has just obtained a Master’s degree in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica, with a project that analyzes the phenomenon of migration from the perspective of the inclusion of migrant children in the current Chilean school system.

Tamara presented her thesis before a commission presided over by the Director of the Institute of Sociology at PUC, Eduardo Valenzuela, who held the same position as the Director of CICS, Carlos Rodríguez-Sickert, when he was the head master of that house of studies.

At the moment, Tamara, besides managing the Center’s investigation and transfer projects, is academically contributing to several projects of the Center which are related to her specialized line of study.
