CICS researchers participate in major international conferences on Neuroscience
Thursday, 8 December, 2016 | NEWSThe neuroscientists of the Social Complexity Research Center, Dr. Pablo Billeke and Dr. Francisco Zamorano, presented the results of their research at the annual congress of the Society for Social Neuroscience and at the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience, both held in San Diego California, USA.
One of the research projects presented was carried out in collaboration with Santiago de Chile’s Clínica Alemana, which used images via Functional Magnetic Resonance (fMRI). In this initiative they studied the compensatory brain mechanisms present in a group of children diagnosed with ADD and hyperactivity when facing an interference control task.
The second work that was presented was carried out in collaboration with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and gave to light the results of the cerebral oscillatory activity in preschoolers with and without suspected Autism, when initiating a social interaction through joint attention.
