B4: The research camp MIT Media Lab Macro Connections Group and CICS-UDD
Thursday, 8 December, 2016 | CALENDAR, EVENTS, NEWSFor the second year in a row, the MIT Media Lab Macro Connections Group and the Social Complexity Research Center at UDD, together with its doctoral program in Social Complexity Sciences, will conduct an intensive research project in Valparaiso that will bring together teachers and students from both institutions in a fully dedicated community work.
This year’s intensive research goes by the name of B4: Bits, Bots, Brain and Behavior in order to add further insight to the three areas already covered in last year’s camp related to neuroscience projects. The main objective of the activity is to promote collaboration and learning among students for the maximum development of their projects.
B4 will be held from January 9th to 30th, 2017 in Valparaíso, in the IF Valparaiso facilities, a place dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship and research, near the iconic Cerro Concepción. It will conclude with a public event, in IF Santiago, where participants will show the progress achieved during B4.
In addition to the participation of 8 students from MIT and 7 from the Doctorate in Social Complexity – UDD, B4 will open vacancies for external participants who want to develop their own projects in this multi-collaboration environment. Accepted students will have all costs covered and a daily allowance for their maintenance. Check the last version of the Research Camp here.
