The PhD. in Medical Sciences, Francisco Zamorano and PhD. Pablo Billeke, specialist in neuroscience, both researchers at the Research Center for Social Complexity (CICS, as its Spanish acronym), had an outstanding participation in the Annual Meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping, held from June 17th to 21st, 2018, in the city of Singapore, Singapore.

Dr. Zamorano presented his work “Dorsolateral prefrontal theta oscillations reflect contextual cognitive impairment in ADHD”. Dr. Pablo Billeke spoke about “Causal role of temporo-parietal brain oscillatory activity in social bargaining”, which is part of the project FONDECYT 11140535.

The meeting was also attended by the DCCS students, Gabriela Valdebenito Oyarzo and María Paz Martínez Molina, both of the 2016 Generation. Valdebenito presented “Unmasking reciprocity: Frontomedial negativity underlying the integration of outcomes and intentions in trust-repayment behavior”, and María Paz showed her work” Theta activity training in lateral prefrontal cortex increases proactive cognitive control “, linked to proactive cognitive control.

Dr. Mauricio Aspé-Sánchez, also a DCCS student, presented his research on “Unmasking reciprocity: Frontomedial negativity underlying the integration of outcomes and intentions in trust-repayment behavior”.

This ceremony seeks to be a meeting place to give and receive updated information about the human brain mapping, as well as being an opportunity for both researchers and experts from around the world to have an instance for feedback. In this way, the conference has several sessions by scientists who provide information about innovations in this field and the latest developments in the area.

The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) is an international organization dedicated to the use of neuroimaging to discover the way the human brain is organized.
